How do you validate a product card?
The validation of the product card depends on the type of
Vensafe-system that is installed in the store and also on the
store scanner to which the system is connected.
If you have the Vensafe Maxx classic system there are three
different ways of validation ;
1 - the product card is swiped through the activation unit and
sales are registered by scanning the product card in the store
scanner,
2 – the product card is swiped through the activation unit and
the barcode is transferred to POS (RS 2332 port or scanner AUX
port required)
3 – the product card is swiped through activation unit, the
barcode is transferred to POS and the card is attributed a
security serial number which is printed on the receipt.
If you have the Vensafe Maxx VBS system with interface to POS
through Ethernet you may utilize the current store scanners to
populate the product cards.

When validated how secure is it?
The system is considered to be 100% secure as the dispenser will
not deliver products with product cards that are not validated,
but display the message “Invalid card”. The source for misuse is
the human factor with users claiming they have not received the
product even though they have.

What happens when you change a product?
1. You need to have a correct space/column for the product and
also a product card in the Vensafe machine. If you have this,
programming the ean code and address is easy to do, and
instructions will be on the Vensafe machine screen after pushing
159 and columns
2. With VBS it will be the same as above, but it is also
possible to change ean codes returned from Vensafe to POS
systems. This means that it is not a need for new product cards
if you have a changed code

Can cards go on a Euro hook?

decals.
