Customer Feedback on Skimmer Drawers
Kookai - UK
The staff at Kookai - a leading high street fashion retailer,
experienced a till snatch during a cash drawer trial of the
SecurePlus Flip Lid-sk, which resulted with the thief taking
only a small sum of cash which was already part of the float.
Marks & Spencer Simply Food - UK
Marks and Spencer realised the benefits of the self skimming
range but wanted Cash Bases to design one with a difference. As
the transaction is made, the notes automatically drop through a
chute into a hidden security bag. The bag is then untied from
the drawer, secured and taken directly to a third party count
making the reconciliation process much more efficient.
Odd Bins - UK
With constant theft and threats to staff members to hand over
cash in the cash drawer, Odd Bins - a UK wine merchant, decided
to take action. With Cash Bases' support and assistance in the
installation of the SecurePlus Flip-Lid-sk with an in-built
mounting bracket into one London store, benefits were
immediate. All new Odd Bins stores will now only be fitted with a
self-skimmer drawer.
Woolworths - South Africa
With one of the highest crime rates in the world, the skimmer
drawer is a saviour to the cashier's daily till snatches and
verbal threats to hand over cash.
Penn Liquor Store- USA
Currently trialling the SecurePlus SL3000 Double-sk to combat
the problem with till snatches, this particular model is set up
to match their current EPoS system but with two cash drawers
stacked on top of the other, enabling two cashiers to operate at
the check-out and still only be accountable for their own
operating cash drawer.
