Lock Options Insert Configurations
Cash drawers normally come with a key release/lock as standard, with either a limited choice of options, or no choice at all.
Cash Bases believe this is an important component of the drawer design and functionality and we provide the widest possible range of options to ensure each drawer has the correct lock arrangement for each customer’s specific needs.

The conventional or common approach...
Simple key release
Choice of all keys Alike (the

Cash drawer security is an increasing priority.
Simple key release or 3 position deadlock
Customers requiring a Like key can choose their own key number from our standard
range and this number will not be allocated as a Like key to any other customer.
Keys can be supplied without numbering, ensuring any stolen or lost keys aren’t
easily identified.
High Security “Radial Pin Tumbler” locks (RPT)
Superior locks which have a radial or circular tumbler, which cannot be
forced open by a screwdriver
Replacement keys cannot be obtained from, or cut by, a High St. key-cutter
Over 50,000 differs available
Customers choosing Random keys will have a different key for every single drawer
in their entire estate, OR
Customers choosing a Like key will have their own number, not used by any other
retailer worldwide
Key numbers can be removed to ensure replacement keys cannot easily be
purchased, even from the original lock manufacturer.

All drawers can be supplied with NO LOCK. The benefits are:
No lock to force open
No keys to loose, or misplace, or be stolen, or to replace
No key register needed, key security procedures are not required
Drawer opens only by POS terminal control, giving an “audit trail” or “log-on
identity”
Various emergency release options are available to allow access in the event ofloss of power.
